Dear friends,
We should probably discuss first what it is that we will be informing you about on this page, and I’m still trying to decide whether or not you want us to be honest or strategic. I would like to explain first to all applicants and clients that just because we post information about films and planned and future castings does not mean that just anyone can participate. The purpose of the casting director, who was given the responsibility for the casting of a specific project, is to choose the appropriate actors or extras for particular roles who are, after careful examination, either given the role or not. In this section we will post information about current and planned castings not only for feature films, but also commercial spots held either by our firm or other casting studios (disclosed only at their request).
Other news of our participation on magnificent American movies has not yet been confirmed. The production of long-prepared and awaited film “The Five Fingers“ was suspended for financial reasons. The realization of Belgian-Dutch serial was – for a change – relocated to Lithuania. I would like to point out this fact. It is fairly distinct shift, which could be happening more often in the future – they were probably cheaper!
With regard to unrealistic expectations I would like to appeal to the actors to get their CVs and demo cassettes ready during the quiet season (even though the notice has been given about another cooperation with our CINE-JESSY branch in Bratislava with regard to the next brothers Tavianni film at the beginning of the new year.) Italians and Americans usually choose actors based on the demo cassettes and they also request the actors’ CVs. It is not a rule, but it’s good to be prepared, even for that.
